I have been registered as an Instablogs editor for almost 4 months now...(Hmmm,, I guess they are 4...let me go check again....a minute pause... I’m back...Ohhh,,,no they’re actually 3 :P) and these THREE months have been real nice, enjoyable and enlightening, as I have been given the opportunity to get to know some real amazing people.
Instablogs has been a place where I come to read good articles, and relax after long (and I mean LONG) stressful days... I don’t come here to fight with anyone, or see anyone fight. SO JUST STOP IT EVERYONE... PLEASE?
We all need to keep in mind that we come from different places in the world, we belong to different cultures, follow different religions or spiritualities (I wonder...is that even a word, or did I just make it up?...The computer didn’t recognize the plural of it:S but I think it’s fine, so Ima keep it :D), and lead different kinds of life-styles. This by default means that we simply CANNOT possibly agree on everything. And THAT IS O.K.
I should not expect everyone to think or act like me (now considering ME...that wouldn’t be a healthy thing, would it :S :P:P). I do expect to differ with others on certain issues, or EVEN ALL ISSUES, and still be able to hold respectful relationships with them, or even friendships.
Is that so hard to do everyone?
Just please think about it...

I’m actually quite ok with the a few negative comments, because it’s a reflection of the reality I live in. What’s the use of civility and class if they they will only be pretenses and facades?
So..I say, let the chips fall where they may, and let’s (the one’s who actually are classy and civil) prove to the world that we will not be intimidated by their negativity or harsh words, we will keep spreading our truths in hopes of revealing more and more.
I (as you know) couldn’t agree more.

what I’m saying is that you’ll see those who uses freedom the way they should be, on the other side, you’ll find those who may say that Obama’s wining will nurture his ”dictators” friends, and there you’ll find yourself before two choices; the first is to bite your lip and ignore him/her, the second is to post a comment against his views and by doing this you’ll get involved in a war.

About your comment...well...I really don’t mind disagreeing with people about different stuff over here, as long as we have a respectful conversation/discussion concerning whatever we disagree about. We just need to understand that there is no definite wrong or right about everything, sometimes it is simply relative to the person, the culture, the background, etc...

I don’t mind disagreeing with others, what I mind is spreading destructive ideas; Islam is all about terrorism, the West is evil, the East is uncivilized...etc.
these you can classify as absurd, and there are a lot like these in IB. its true you cannot do anything about it, but that doesn’t make them tolerable.

I agree Wa’d... Things seem a bit haywire.. I’m ALL for opinions and GOOD healthy debates..I want to learn about the world, I want to learn bout religions, cultures, and traditions..I want to hear it from real people..Not from a textbook..I DON’T want stereotypes, I want TRUTHS...
People are getting downright vulgar in their comments at times..Have a bit of class people, a bit of respect..
FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND OPINIONS IS WHAT THIS IS ALL ABOUT..but CIVIL displays of disagreement need to be created..Not vulgarities and b.s.
We all are here to share our views and learn a bit.. Nobody should be silenced, but at the same time, noone should be abusive..

Alot can be learned here on IB for everyone..If you have no interest in learning or seeing two sides of coins, maybe it’s best not to comment.
Honestly, IB is a nice place to be, so let’s just enjoy it as much as possible...
