I have read lots of articles before on the Instablogs where Islam was accused to be a religion of violence... I myself have also been accused right here on IB that I tend to not write about terrorists -who, on their ID cards, have the word Islam next to the space left for religion -, somehow indicating that I agree with what is being done, simply because they call themselves Muslims. So, by this article, I will explain my response to those accusations in a simple and clear way, and I plan to do that after reporting the following news published in all Jordanian newspapers that I could lay my eyes on this morning:
The State Security Court (SSC) sentenced three men to 22-and-a-half-year of prison on Monday the 17th of March, after they were convicted of plotting for terrorist attacks in Jordan.
This is not the first case of its kind in Jordan where terrorists are arrested and taken to court BEFORE they do their crimes, to be just another proof of the success of Jordanian system that works on keeping its people safe and secured...
My opinion on why this has worked in Jordan so far? I believe that the main reason for this success is that in Jordan, instead of pointing our fingers to Muslims and Islam, we, as Jordanians of all religions, people and government, are working together to put those criminals where they belong... in PRISON. Jordan, is treating them like the criminals they are, and handing them well-deserved sentences.
So... do you still want to blame me for not writing articles about terrorism? Well, here you go:
I am a Muslim, and I condemn terrorist acts...
But the thing here is; I don’t just condemn, I also happen to live in a country which actually DOES something about it... and instead of crying out loud and victimising ourselves, we are working on it, logically and fairly.
Now I believe that Jordan has done its share of the deal... So, how about other countries get their security systems together and treat those people like the criminals they are instead of insulting a whole religion because of the stupidity of some of its so-called followers –who probably don’t have a clue about this religion in the first place-!!!

I took this photo a couple of weeks ago - a mosque in Salt City in Jordan, reflected in rain water after a rainy week-. One of the best photos I’ve ever taken (but that’s just my opinion :p )... I somehow felt that the photo has something to say related to this article... something like:...No matter what... Religion will always succeed in being reflected in the purity of our lives...
