So, here it is as promised... Part two...
The thing that I won’t be writing about though in this post, unlike what I promised earlier, is my blood test results... Why not? Well... because... I didn’t get tested yet... Why?... well... because I am too busy to take care of myself :S... which I believe is the thing that got me into this situation in the first place...
So what’s happening right now is that I don’t know my results...YET...BUT... I know that I am short on Iron in my body... and that I need to do something about it...
A healthier lifestyle is the answer to my problem... and a healthier lifestyle mainly lies in my diet... So, today, I will share the secrets of the diet that helps boost iron levels in your body...
I did my research on the internet a couple of months ago looking for quick answers... but of course, I didn’t really stick to my research results, otherwise I wouldn’t be writing this today... anyway; here are a couple of tips of how you can change your lifestyle to improve your Iron level, and consequently your general health:
1)Eat red meat... Lots of it...
2)Green stuff are also rich in iron...(edible green stuff... that means stay away from grass, traffic lights, lizards... unless lizards have red meat... I’m not sure... anyway) so, in spite of the fact that I did lessen your options, but there are lots of others that you can actually eat... lettuce, broccoli and spinach...

3)Vitamin C, Vitamin C, and more Vitamin C... it helps your body absorb iron more efficiently
4)Try to lessen the amount of tea... and if/when you drink it, let it be in between meals rather than with meals...
5)Ask your doctor for some iron supplements
6)If the above mentioned tips don’t work for you... then... you might want to bite on your car keys or something.... maybe your carpentry tools? They come in different shapes... you could even choose your favorite tool... plus... every house has one....
*** This article is meant to give simple tips rather than diagnose or treat...So refer back to your Doctor...
Some of the medical information in this article were taken from here and for detailed list of iron rich food, reference is here.
she was tols to stay away from coffee, tea, and soda with caffeine and Red Wine.
and also stay clear of Spinach, chard, beet greens, rhubarb and sweet potato, and soy products as they inhibit iron absorbtion.

and yea yea, I promised myself to go this weekend, get tested, and take it from there...:D
I can suggest you a simple self test..take a safety pin and poke your finger..if the blood is thin and light red..then you NEED IRON..lol
Once when I was donating blood...the man next to me had thick moron color blood and mine was kinda thin and red color..I asked the nurse..anything wrong with my blood?? she told you don’t have enough Iron...so that’s the trick..
Anywayz thanks for the tips..Eating too much red meat can end up with some other complications like high Cholesterol
So it’s better to eat more leafy green veggies..off late I am loading my fridge with Broccoli and spinach
Yea I guess we should go for leafy green veggies... Lets... :D
let me know how it works for u... ;)
And try white meat, its the best... ;)
Thanks for the advice :)
We will try to- but will never make a perfect soft tissue animal
I, personally am sure of one thing and one thing only, I need to eat healtheir and take it easier on my self, maybe rest more or something!!!

True and here in canada there has been something to boost the immunity and tested in blind studies to work
It is called COLD-FX and worked for me and others
Again everyone is different but with all information there may come a little knowledge –good luck on your search of feeling better

I wish someone could prove the inaccuracy of the ”eat lots of red meat” thing... cz, euh well... I’m not the biggest fan of red meat...
Unlike you, I love sleeping, but unfortunately I don’t have time to get enough of it...
I will do my research on the ”ampalaya” veg.... I was hoping I could find something that would just make it all go away...
Thanks a lot for your comment.. and it’s nice to see you here :)
Peace...

I was iron-deficient, too, a while back. My doctor said I should catch more sleep. That was a little hard for me because I’m not fond of sleeping.
There is a native vegetable here in the Philippines that cures iron-deficiency. It’s called ”ampalaya.” It’s bitter and totally yucky, but it did cure my iron-deficiency.
I suggest just go for the broccoli.
Take care!

Bitter gourd contains vitamin A, B1, B2, and C. It also contains minerals like calcium, phosphorous, iron, copper and potassium. It helps purify blood tissue, enhances digestion, and stimulates the liver. Bitter gourd is also excellent for balancing Kapha.
