The Lebanese president Michel Sulaiman began talks towards nominating the name of the new Prime minister; eyes are on Saa’d Alhariri for this mission, to be his 2nd nomination, after he was nominated the first tie, but stepped down when he failed to forge a unity government including Hizbullah and allies.

Hariri, a U.S.- and Saudi-backed billionaire businessman, is expected to be nominated by members of his parliamentary majority coalition, which defeated a rival alliance including the Syria- and Iran-backed Hezbollah in a June election.
He was nominated prime minister after the election but stepped down last week after more than 10 weeks trying to forge a unity government including Hezbollah and its allies.
Hariri, Lebanon’s main Sunni politician, and rival groups have traded accusations of blame since the failure of the talks -Reuters.
During his first attempt of forming the government, Hariri reportedly refused to give way to the demands of Michel Oun, a Christian politician who happens to be an Allie of the Shiite group Hizbullah. There were no reports of changes to the late tensed political relationships between different groups in Lebanon, which may indicate the need to find someone else for the job, other than Saa’d AlHariri who gave up on his first trial, now that the circumstances around his giving up are standing still. Lebanon does not need more quarrels now, and could surely benefit from someone who is ready to compromise for the best of Lebanon and not for the pride of their own party!!!
