Palestinians were failed once again by the American administration in regards with the Jewish settlements freezing on Palestinian land. American president Barak Obama’s team apparently was unsuccessful at “convincing” Israeli government of freezing the settlements; a mission that no previous American president was successful at or wanted to succeed at in the first place.

“During a Middle East tour, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sought Monday to reassure Arabs after angering them with her weekend praise of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s offer to restrict settlements as “unprecedented”. The chief US diplomat insisted her administration still opposed settlements as strongly as before.” -The Jordan Times.

However, this failure will definitely affect the peace process, and even if previous presidents weren’t successful in this area, no previous American president got a Nobel prize for it; which makes this failure a great one for Obama’s image in the world of those who strive for peace...
